IM Speak – Used to describe the way people communicate through microblogs and SMS texting, often using shorthand and emoticons. Not “im speak” or “imspeak.”
JavaScript – The programming language initially developed by Netscape to include interactivity in Web pages. Note the capital “J” and the capital “S.” Not to be confused with “java” or “java script.”
Web – When referring to the World Wide Web, capitalize the first letter (W). Otherwise you’re referring to what spiders produce.
Web site – Although common usage often connects these words, original AP style keeps these two words separate (and the “W” capitalized).
